TreeAge Pro 2012 is now available!
TreeAge Pro 2012, Release 1.0 is available to anyone with...
- an active annual license.
- a standard (perpetual) license with maintenance through 1/1/2012 or later.
You can check your license/maintenance expiration date in TreeAge Pro, under Help > License Manager, or by logging in at the
Support page.
Compared to earlier versions, TreeAge Pro 2011 introduced a more modern, flexible interface, and enhanced TreeAge Pro's already robust set of modeling and analysis functions. This page highlights the new features available in TreeAge Pro 2012.

- Generate one-way sensitivity analysis output from microsimulation results.
- Setup a variable range for one-way sensitivity analysis; then run microsimulation trial sets for each value of that variable within the sensitivity analysis range.
- Identify strategy change thresholds for specific parameters, even in models requiring microsimulation/trials.
- Use enhanced variable definition with support for multiple expressions using arrays.
- Reference the individual expressions by index.
- Use within Markov processes to change the referenced expression from cycle to cycle.
- Use in conjunction with tables to choose the proper expression from the array based on a table lookup.
- Run simulations more quickly by utilizing the processing power of multiple slave computers.
- Master computer must have one of the following.
- An active Annual License.
- A Standard License with an active Maintenance Agreement.
- Slave computers do not require a TreeAge Pro license.
- Create a Help HTML file to document your model.
- Colleagues can then access your documentation by opening the model and pressing the F1 key.
- The news reader will facilitate prompt notification to TreeAge Pro users of important events, such as:
- Software updates
- Public training courses
- Simplified export of report output to facilitate processing in Excel.
- Report output includes:
- Markov Cohort Output Summary Report
- Cost-Effectiveness Analysis
- Communication between TreeAge Pro and Excel is applicable only to TreeAge Pro Excel and TreeAge Pro Suite.
- Under Windows, both TreeAge Pro and Excel must be the same version, either 64-bit or 32-bit.
- Under Mac, only 64-bit versions will be supported.
- Bilinks - dynamic links between a model and an Excel workbook.
- Windows: currently supported for both 32-bit and 64-bit.
- Mac: currently not supported.
- Export text-based analysis output to Excel.
- Windows: currently supported for both 32-bit and 64-bit.
- Mac: currently supported.
- Export analysis graphs Excel.
- Windows: currently supported for Windows 32-bit; 64-bit not currently supported.
- Mac: currently not supported.
- Edit model inputs (variables, trackers, distributions, tables) in Excel and return to TreeAge Pro.
- Windows: currently supported for Windows 32-bit; 64-bit not currently supported.
- Mac: currently not supported.
- We are working on adding the unsupported Windows 64-bit communication channels. We expect to have that completed in March.
- Thereafter, resources will be shirged to support for 64-bit communication on the Mac platform.
